Barnet House
Barnet House is a large two story home in Pompton Lakes, NJ. 8 individuals with developmental disabilities call Barnet House "home."

Bookcase

The people who live at Barnet House do plenty of reading to help keep their minds in shape!  They can use a new bookcase to keep in their living room to store books and other reading materials.

Fitzpatrick House

Fitzpatrick House is a ranch style home in Pompton Lakes, NJ.  5 men with developmental disabilities live at Fitzpatrick House.


New Kitchen Lighting

A new chandelier is needed for the kitchen to place over the table, to help keep mealtime bright!

Gruenert Center

Gruenert Center is DPD’s Adult Day Training program located in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The Gruenert Center offers a diversified experience to approximately 50 clients through paid work opportunities in its sub-contract work area, prime manufacturing of ceramics and community cleaning crews. The program also offers relevant learning experiences through its many specialty groups such as communication, current events, relaxation and stress management and performing arts.

Slip Casting Machine for Ceramics

Many of the 55 clients at Gruenert Center work making ceramics to sell at various sales throughout the year.  Their ceramics slip casting machine is very old and in need of repair.  Can you help by making a donation to cover the cost of a new one?

Wehrlen House is a bi-level home in West Milford, NJ. 6 women with developmental disabilities live at Wehrlen House, which is named after DPD's founder, Monsignor John Wehrlen.

A new cutlery set is needed at Wehrlen House to help the ladies who live their prepare their daily meals.  Can you help by making a donation?

Calabrese House
Calabrese House is a ranch style home in Parsippany, NJ. 5 people with developmental disabilities live at Calabrese House. Calabrese House is named in memory of named in memory of Dominick A. Calabrese, Past State Deputy of the NJ State Knights of Columbus.

Apple MAC Computer

The people who live at Calabrese House are into new technology!  Help them stay up to date with the times and make a donation to DPD so that they can purchase a new MAC computer!  They would like to use it for educational opportunities, movies and to Skype with their family members and friends!

Help the five people who live at Calabrese House in Parsippany by donating the funds needed to purchase an Ottoman and coffee table.  They recently purchased a new living room couch and recliners but did not quite have enough in their budget to purchases the other needed items.

Kelleher Apartments is a supervised apartment program located in three condominium units in Butler, NJ.  9 individuals live at Kelleher apartments with developmental disabilities.

3 men and 6 women reside at the Kelleher Apartments in Butler.  Help brighten their lives by donating the funds needed to purchase a sofa and chairs.

Columbus House

Columbus House is a large ranch style home in Oak Ridge, NJ. Six people with significant physical and developmental disabilities live at Columbus House. Columbus House is named after the Knights of Columbus for their many contributions to DPD.


Power Recliner

Several of the individuals who reside at Columbus House have advanced physical needs. A new power recliner is needed for the living room for the comfort of those with physical disabilities.  Can you help by making a donation?

Murray House

Murray House is a split level style home in Clifton. It is the longest existing group home for people with developmental disabilities in the state of New Jersey.  6 people with developmental disabilities live at Murray House.  Murray House is named after Jimmie Murray, a child with developmental disabilities from Paterson who passed away in 1969.

Basile Apartments
Basile Apartments is a supervised apartment program located in two condominium units in Wayne, NJ. 6 men live at Basile Apartments with developmental disabilities.

Troop #1965

Troop #1965 is a Boy Scouts of America Special Needs Troop based out of Oak Ridge, NJ.  There are 50 members of the troop from DPD's group homes. 


Apparel for all members

No Troop is complete without badges, shirts, and vests.  Help the members of our troop purchase apparel for their monthly meetings.

Saturdays at the Center Program

Saturdays at the Center (SATC) is a new and exciting program for developmentally disabled young adults residing in the community.  SATC provides social and recreational opportunities for individuals seeking fun and interesting activities to participate in with peers.

Fight for the Right Group

The Fight for the Right Community Service group is comprised of adults from the Department for Persons with Disabilities.  The group meets monthly and strives to give back to the community through various community service projects and events. 


Arts and Crafts Supplies

Help the Fight for the Right Group continue to make a difference in the lives of others. The community service group is in need of various arts and crafts supplies to help with their activities and outreach programs.

Respect Support Groups

The respect support groups meet monthly and are led by counselors from DPD.  During the support groups, individuals who live in DPD's programs meet to discuss their feelings and look to each other for help with various issues that they are facing. 


Monthly Refresments

DPD has two support groups that meet monthly.  Each week, a different group home brings healthy refreshments for the entire group. Can you help cover this cost and pay for refreshments for two groups for the next year?

The Wiegand Farm Golf Classic (www.dpd.org/wiegand) is DPD's Annual Golf Outing and largest fundraiser of the year.  In 2013, the 39th Annual Golf Classic helped gross over $100,000 thanks to corporations, local businesses, participants and individual donors. 

Support Coordination

DPD now offers Support Coordination services to residents of Sussex County, NJ who are eligible for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) services.  Our Support Coordinator will work with individuals and their families to develop an individualized, person-centered service plan.  We are always looking to help those in the community in need. 


Oxygen Concentrator

One of the individuals served by our Support Coordination Program is in need of a new Oxygen Concentrator.  Can you help this individual live a healthier life by making a donation?
