Calabrese House, Parsippany

About: Calabrese House is a ranch style home in Parsippany, NJ. Throughout 2016, Calabrese House provided 1,814 days of care to 5 people with developmental and physical disabilities.

History: Calabrese House opened in Parsippany, in 2001. Five men and women moved into this group home named in memory of Dominick A. Calabrese. Dominick was a Papal Knight of Saint Gregory and served as the State Deputy of the New Jersey Knights of Columbus. He was a longtime friend and volunteer of DPD. He proposed and introduced a fundraising effort for the DPD which was a great success. At the kick-off celebration for this fundraiser Dominick had a massive heart attack and passed away. After Dominick’s passing this effort was named "Dominick's Dream." Dominick's Dream shattered all set goals and helped the DPD advance and serve more people.

Dominick's legacy lives on through the people who live at Calabrese House and through the good works of the Knights of Columbus.
