Support of the Wiegand Farm Golf Classic, makes a difference in Anthony’s life

Anthony Iovine moved into DPD in 1996 and has grown and flourished thanks to motivation and the caring nature of DPD staff and volunteers.  Anthony has become a staple at DPD’s Wiegand Farm Golf Classic, where golfers can “Win-a-Watch” from him.

DPD Dances the Night Away at 2013 Murray House Dinner Dance

The Department for Persons with Disabilities celebrated the 43rd Annual Murray House Dinner Dance at the Brownstone in Paterson, NJ on February 24th.  Local politicians, Diocesan representatives, volunteers and nearly all of DPD’s 74 residents attended this elegant gala.

DPD Introduces “Saturdays at the Center” Program

DPD is proud to announce the launch of its new program, “Saturdays at the Center.”  Saturdays at the Center is designed specifically developmentally disabled young adults, ages 21 to 39, interested in weekend socialization and recreational activities with peers.

38th Annual Wiegand Farm Golf Classic Sells Out

The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) 38th Annual Wiegand Farm Golf Classic, sponsored by Lakeland Bank, was held on June 25, 2012 at the Bowling Green Golf Club in Oak Ridge, NJ.  A full sold out crowd of 144 golfers attended the outing to show the support for DPD.

As part of Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA), and the National March For Meals campaign through March 31, Sussex County Meals on Wheels coordinated Mayors For Meals Day on March 21, 2012.  DPD Executive Director Scott Milliken was one of the volunteers who lent a hand.
